Purpose Statement

The Mt. Vernon Youth Ministry exists to Invest in others, Unite them with believers, to encourage them while Developing in their faith, and reach out with Love and Compassion, while Honoring Christ with their Life.

(Great Commandment)  Matthew 22:37-40

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ The first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

(Great Commission) Matthew 28:19-20

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

1. Honor- “Love the Lord your God with all your heart.”
